\tWe are delighted to announce a brand new event this year, the Junior Festival of Pool.<\/div>\n
\t <\/div>\n
\tDATE: May Bank Holiday Weekend – 2nd to 5th May 2014<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
\tVENUE: Breaffy House Hotel, Castlebar, Co. Mayo<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
\t <\/div>\n
\tThe event will incorporate the U15 and U18 Inter-County Weekend along with the U15, U18 and U21 Irish Singles Championships. The Junior Festival of Pool will take place the same weekend as the final Ranking Tournament of the season which will add to the atmosphere and excitement. <\/div>\n
\t <\/div>\n
\tJunior events for the weekend will be:<\/div>\n
\t <\/div>\n
\tUnder 15 and Under 18 Inter County Team Competition<\/span><\/div>\n
\tUnder 21, Under 18 and Under 15 Irish Singles Championships<\/span><\/div>\n
\t <\/div>\n
\tThe venue is the Breaffy House Hotel in Castlebar, Co. Mayo<\/strong> who are offering excellent reduced rates for all players and spectators in the competition. Please phone contact the hotel directly on 0<\/span>94 9022033 or book online at www.breaffyhouseresort.com <\/span>quoting IPAPOOL. The rates are €45 per person sharing per night on Friday and Saturday with an additional reduced rate for people staying on Sunday night ofr €35 per person sharing. NOTE: because of the volume of matches being played over the weekend play will most likely go on till late on Sunday night so it is advisable to book accommodation for all three nights.<\/span><\/div>\n

\tThe complete schedule for the weekend will be published before the event, however, all Junior and Under-15 teams will need to be there on the Friday night as team matches will start on Friday. <\/span><\/div>\n
\t <\/div>\n
\tThe Irish Pool Association are delighted to return to Mayo for a ranking event as well as the Junior Fesival of Pool as it has been a number of years since we have been there. Mayo have a very large County Championships this year and we are hoping for another huge entry as we have had all season.<\/span><\/div>\n

\tClosing Dates:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/u><\/div>\n
\t <\/div>\n
\tTeam Entries<\/span>: for entries to the All Ireland Under-18 and Under-15 Inter-County Team Events is Saturday the 22nd March 2014<\/span>. This is the Saturday of the fifth ranking event in the Carlton Shearwater Hotel, Ballinasloe. No entries will be accepted after this date.<\/div>\n
\t <\/div>\n
\tSingles Entries<\/span>: The closing date for entries to the Under-18, Under-21 and Under-15 Irish Championship Singles event is Friday 25th April 2014<\/span> at 5.00pm. Once again no entries will be accepted after this date. <\/div>\n
\t <\/div>\n
\tWe will put numerous reminders on Facebook and on the website but it is up to all team managers to remind their players that this is the closing date. <\/span><\/div>\n
\t <\/div>\n
\tEntries to the Men’s ranking event being played over the same weekend are to be in at the same date above<\/span>. Juniors are allowed to play in the Men’s event as normal this year at the Junior Festival of Pool. Because we are having the Junior Inter-County and Junior All-Ireland Singles on the same weekend as a ranking event this year we will be having ranking points for the Junior All-Ireland Singles. By doing this it means that we still have six junior ranking events, thus having the same qualification procedure for the World Championship Junior Team as in previous years.<\/span><\/div>\n
